Ballygarron Farm

Ballygarron Farm is a family owned and run Vegetable Growing Business based in The Spa Tralee Co. Kerry.

For three generations the Hanafin Family have worked the rich fertile land of The Spa and surrounding areas producing high quality freshly home-grown vegetables for our customers to enjoy.

Established in Scrahan Cross by Paudie’s Grandfather and continued on by Paudie’s father Johnjoe Hanafin and in later years extended within the parish to Ballygarron Farm where Paudie and his dedicated team of workers continue to work with a dedication and passion to produce vegetables to a high standard.

We offer a wide variety of vegetables to our customer some of our more popular vegetables are grown on a larger scale than others.

When our consumers are delighting in a traditional dinner of bacon Cabbage and potatoes they are finishing a journey that Paudie and his team started, from planning his crops to setting that cabbage seed and nurturing it at the mercy of Irish weather.

We offer and grow a wide range of vegetables on a large scale we grow and produce Cabbage Broccoli Cauliflower Swedes and Sprouts to provide the quantities we need to meet the requirements of our customers.

In summer and autumn on Saturday mornings from 10am – 3pm we have our Road side Veg Stop where the fun begins and the local community can purchase Leeks, Potatoes, Onions, Lettuce, Carrots, Parsnips and Spinach, depending on the time of year.  All vegetables are grown by ourselves. Our local speciality is beetroot carefully prepped by Paudie’s mother.

We strive to offer a high quality of produce fresh from the field to our customers at all times.

Each year the children grow and enter their own vegetables in the Kingdom County Fair where rosettes are collected and the interest of farming the land is maintained! The future is secure!

We have a good relationship with all our customers and communicate with them regularly to ensure that they are satisfied with quality deliveries etc. as all our customers’ needs are important to us.

We target wholesalers who supply shops and hotels in the Munster region.
